Workshop Description

Color and Light in landscape in acrylic and oil is for experienced beginner to intermediate students who want to loosen up and learn to work with radiant color. The purpose of the workshop is to learn simplified methods to produce a successful studio painting from photos or sketches. In a relaxed atmosphere, John will demo in oil, as he does step-by-step demos throughout the day showing the steps he takes to produce a painting. Starting with his unique block-in- method, he will cover simplifying shapes, basic composition, color and color temperature, color mixing and brushwork.
